Everything we get asked about running a server with us — from how long the first deploy takes to what happens when you change plan.
Under a minute in most cases. Pick a game, a plan and a region, and we provision the container, allocate a port, and point a hostname at it while you are still on the page. The first start-up also downloads the game files, which for larger games can add a few minutes — you can watch the whole thing happen in the live console.
No. Every game ships as a ready-made image with sensible defaults, so a fresh server is playable the moment it finishes booting. Everything you would normally edit by hand — the game version, the world settings, the server properties — is exposed as a form field in the panel.
Each server gets its own address on our domain, shown at the top of the panel. Hand that out and players can join straight away — there is no port forwarding, no router configuration and nothing to install on your own machine.
Yes. The built-in file manager takes uploads, including zip archives that it can unpack in place, so you can drop in an existing world, a modpack or a full server folder and restart.
Dedicated machines with high-clock-speed CPUs and SSD storage. Game servers are far more sensitive to single-core speed than to core count, so the fleet is picked for clock speed rather than raw core totals, and storage is local to the machine your server runs on rather than sitting behind the network.
Yes, on every plan at no extra cost. Attack traffic is filtered upstream of the machine your server runs on, so a volumetric attack against your address is absorbed before it reaches the game process.
In the EU. You choose the region when you create a server, and the region list in the deploy wizard is always the current one — pick the location closest to the majority of your players for the lowest ping.
For a vanilla game with a handful of friends, the entry plan is plenty. Mods and plugins are what move the needle: a heavy modpack, or a world that a large group has explored for months, wants the mid or top tier. You are not locked in — move up a plan whenever the server starts feeling tight.
We do not sell player slots, so the limit is whatever your server can comfortably handle on the resources of your plan. Raise or lower the cap yourself in the server settings.
Start, stop and restart the server, watch and type into the live console, browse and edit files, take and restore backups, change the game settings from a form, and invite other people to help you run it. Everything you would use an SSH session for on a self-hosted box has a place in the panel.
Yes. Games that have distinct modded flavours let you switch between them from the panel, and the file manager gives you full access to the plugin and mod folders for anything you want to add by hand.
Yes. Version and flavour are dropdowns in the panel, not something fixed at purchase — pick a different one and the server reinstalls onto it. Your world data is kept, but take a backup first whenever you make a big jump, especially a downgrade.
Backups are taken from the panel on demand and restored the same way. Each plan comes with a number of backup slots; when they are full, delete an old one to make room. Always take one before a version change or a large configuration edit.
Yes. Invite them by email as a sub-user and choose exactly what they are allowed to do — console access, file access, backups, power controls — each granted separately. They get their own login, so you never share your password, and you can revoke their access at any time.
Memory, CPU allocation, disk space and the number of backup slots. The game itself, DDoS protection, the full control panel, sub-users and every feature of the platform are identical on every tier — you are only ever paying for capacity.
Paying yearly costs the equivalent of ten months instead of twelve, so two months are free. Every price on the pricing page shows both, and the toggle switches between them.
Yes, at any time and without rebuilding your server. Changing plans adjusts the resources allocated to your existing container, so your world, configuration and files are untouched.
From your account, whenever you want. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Download anything you want to keep — a backup, or the world folder from the file manager — before the server is removed at the end of the paid period.
